Running with lucid amd64 with latest updates (as of 11/02/2010), I've noticed in the past few days that X either restarts or locks up after I've plugged/unplugged a USB keyboard several times. Looking at dmesg there is no sign of segfaulting (X restarting case) or the machine hanging (when X locks up) since I can ssh it the machine.
