I booted the Live CD from today, and there it works! Nouveau is default
from today on. I will try it on my installed system too.

I have a Aver Revo Atom 330 nvidia ION Netbook, and I get the same
thing. The screen looks different, but it's also unusable. Just
scrambled, like Pay-TV if you don't pay for it...
It never worked for me. In the test results, people with an ION (9400)
come off badly...

I should have mentioned that this setup worked with nouveau the day the
first call for testing came out using the xorg--edgers/nouveau ppa.
Though choppy playback in fullscreen caused me to temporarily switch
back to the nvidia driver.

The strange thing is that after using jockey-text to disable nouveau and
enable nvidia-current, once X comes up the resolution of my monitor is
no longer automatically detected correctly and I have to use nvidia-
settings to create a correct xorg.conf, this never happened before.
