You have been subscribed to a public bug: The T410 ThinkPad has a WXGA+ display that supports 1440 x 900. Ubuntu is showing the display as "Unknown" and only shows up to a 1280 x 800 resolution. I'm also unable to clone the display onto an external monitor.
I tried using the latest 2.10 version of the intel xorg driver available from PPA (version 2.9 came with Ubuntu 9.10) at: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa But I still have the problem.
