I'm Unable to reproduce the problem reported in this bug report after the update. There is a lot of screen "flicker" during boot however (and at login screen). Once logged in, the flickering ceases. I'm Unsure where and how to post a bug report on this new issue, and what logs would be relevant.

You mentioned 'crash' in your report, but I notice a gpu dump got captured, which only occurs for X freezes. Can you confirm that what you've seen is a freeze (system appears to lockup but maybe the mouse cursor moves) rather than a crash (dumps you back to login screen)? -- X freezes on startup
