correct, its not that the system crashes - its the Intel GPU related module

this one) have been fixed in the newer DRM code from the 2.6.33 kernel.

You mentioned 'crash' in your report, but I notice a gpu dump got
captured, which only occurs for X freezes. Can you confirm that what
you've seen is a freeze (system appears to lockup but maybe the mouse
cursor moves) rather than a crash (dumps you back to login screen)?
