Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
I've had this happen twice now in Lucid Alpha 3. While typing X just freezes and I no longer have any mouse or keyboard input, well sort of. Even though I have Keyboard preferences set to allow restarting X with Ctrl + Alt + Backspace that does not work. OTOH Alt + SysReq + REISUB does work so no hard reset is necessary. I'm clueless as what to look for in the logs but I did record the exact time of the freeze, it was easy because the clock stops: Mar, 5 @ 11:12:27 AM (that's US Central time if it matters). I'll be glad to attach more info if requested.
