Thanks Jerry, we actually use the same apport hook for xorg-server as for all the other X components, so ubuntu-bug xorg-server would not provide any different information than you've already provided.
The bug seems to not actually be a crash but rather an abnormal xserver exit, with an error message, "Failed to submit batchbuffer: Input/output error." This sounds like a bug in the kernel drm. Could you confirm that you can produce this reliably on the -16 kernel but not the -15 kernel? ** Summary changed: - Lucid 2.6.32-16 crash while entering bug report + Lucid 2.6.32-16 crash while entering bug report - Failed to submit batchbuffer: Input/output error ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Triaged ** Package changed: xorg-server (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Triaged => Incomplete -- Lucid 2.6.32-16 crash while entering bug report - Failed to submit batchbuffer: Input/output error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/534129 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg-server in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
