Daniel Did you remove the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf or at least removed the lines pointing to NVidia proprietary drivers? Reinstalling nvidia-current should not work unless you run the command: nvidia-xconfig That command will edit the xorg.conf file. -- Removing nvidia-current causes black
