Well, next I'd like to forward this issue upstream, but first it must be
retested on latest development version of Ubuntu to make sure the issue
still happens there with the latest code. ISO images are available via
http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. If you can reproduce it in the LiveCD
I have a lenovo T500 that is also exhibiting this bug.
'lspci' outputs:

Hi Bryce,
Thanks for taking on this issue. I was stressed to much by the issue so
I switched to fglrx for a while (the issue does not appear there).
After your comment I have done the following:
$ sudo aptitude update
$ sudo aptitude full-upgrade
$ sudo aptitude remove fglrx
$ sudo aptitude
dmesg output. Collected via:
$ dmesg ~/dmesg.log

Hi Kosty,
I'd like to send this upstream, but first let me ask, are you still
having this with the current lucid updates? The newer -19 kernel has
some fixes for radeon so it would be nice to re-test. Please post a
fresh dmesg and /var/log/Xorg.0.log after doing this test. Thanks ahead
