I have the same issue with Beta. I've been running lucid since Alpha 3 without issue, but have no touchpad response at all running Beta off a USB. I have tried torrent and straigt .iso downloads and have the same result. -- Synaptic touchpad has soft lockups in lucid https://bugs.launchpad.net/
