Yes! It works. Thank you very much. I installed Ubuntu using alternate CD an flickering/shaking was still there. Then I changed grub2 as you suggested and now everything works perfectly. I did it this way: 1. add radeon.new_pll=0 after quiet splash to the file /etc/default/grub :
