I think the problem that Nils was experiencing was caused by the fact
that he didn't install the driver through Jockey but only installed the
fglrx package manually (which is clearly not enough).
I'm closing this bug report.

I got this error message though a silly means... I tried to run
glxgears/glxdemo (whatever) over xhosting. Now don't get me wrong, I'd
love for that to work. But I don't really consider that much of a fail.

@Felix: Yes! I didn't have an /etc/ati/signature. But I did have a
/etc/ati/signature.dpkg-bak. Also, I just did an update and there were
changes to the fglrx packages and they looked like they were installing
all the files I was missing. Hopefully we are getting closer.

--initial -f" and reboot to activate fglrx.
@Dann: You get this watermark if /etc/ati/signature is not installed
correctly. The fact that /etc/ati/control was missing as well indicates
