see the button 'Two finger Scroll' in your SystemPrefrencesMouse under
the Touchpad tab. Is the button active or

The solution in #10 did not work on my t400s. I added the xorg input
configuration in both /usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d and in
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d without effect.
I created a quick bash script using the solution to #5 and have it run
on login via the startup applications. That works pretty well.

thats only a temporary solution until reboot. maybe it has to be fixed
in xserver-xorg-input-synaptics driver or udev settings.
