I believe this is fixed at least in 12.04. If you still get crashes with it, file a new bug by using 'ubuntu-bug xorg'. ** Changed in: xf86-input-wacom (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to x

Have seen this behavior on both 10.04 and 10.10. I have a tablet with a very dubious connection - it is very easy to cut it by merely moving the cord. Frequent "plug-ins" and "plug-outs" cause X to crash unexpectedly and GDM to greet me again. -- You received this bug notification because you ar

The dmesg tail is immediately after the crash, also shown below. The other logs are grabbed after restarting the machine I'm afraid, I

I believe we're also seeing this same bug here, on mythbuntu 10.04 with a Wacom Graphire 3. Over the past week or so we've been getting occasional gdm session crashes which seem to be triggered sometimes when we move the pen into range on the tablet (i.e. we're just about to perform some mouse act

I might add that plugging in or plugging out the USB cable causes GDM to exit without saving and restart. In Karmic, the Xserver just used to freeze occasionally or cause text on screen to be selected without releasing the selection mechanism. The only way out of this was to unplug the Wacom tablet
