I tried installing FGLRX to a Live USB (with the persistence file) and
got this also. my output of sudo apt-get install fglrx is:

The following extra
@userdce, that's not the same problem. Yours is that fglrx doesn't build
on 2.6.33 and higher. It's reported in bug 585759.

it's missing the requested file but yours is reported in bug 557023.

I'm hitting the same bug - trying to install fglrx on a LiveUSB.

I'm also attaching a jockey log because I first tried to install fglrx
