Binary package hint: xorg
When plugging in an external LCD Screen (LG Flatron L1915S) into my
Thinkpad R60 Laptop, it works only very inconsistently. What happens is
that the screen shows for a split-second and then goes dark.
This behaviour occurs sometimes
Update: after the recent lucid update, it stopped working altogether.
Now it always blinks once and then switches off.

Update: it just happened when I just switched off the external screen
for a while. When I switched it on again, it blinked and then went
black. Plugging it out and then in again solved it (this time)
