I am not sure that my problem has been solved. Last week I googled some more and found the following bug report which seemed related to the one I have filed. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/539772 I thus upgraded a few days ago according to:

I have had a few crashes since last post. This time I succeeded to record the debug print outs from the modem-manager. Since I have not had any crashes when running with the WLAN, I thought it could be interesting to see if the 3G connection could be the problem. Below is the log. **

This evening, a new crash occurred. This time I was running with a WLAN connection. The laptop has been running fine for a few hours with Evolution, Firefox and Rhytmbox playing some music. As soon as I started surfing on the web site idg.se, which seem to have triggered all the previous crashes,

These two options are still deselected. It seems that the crash only occurs when I am using Firefox at a certain web site (idg.se). Yesterday I was able to reproduce the problem quickly, several times when I was surfing on this web site. Do not know if it could be that this web site is stressing

Mikael, the screensaver seems not to be related. This unexpected logout's happen to me using Firefox, but I don't think the bug it's related to the browser. I think it's because the browser or any application gets slower and slower, almost freeze. My problem is maybe cos I have a small swap. Do

2010-05-21 Thread Mikael Andersson
Yes, there should be enough memory (1 Gbyte) and swap (1,3 Gbyte). Right now the memory usage is around 560 Mbyte and swap usage is around 15 Mbyte. It is probably not Firefox itself, as you are saying, but some resources it is using, which get stressed. Are you using a 3G connection as well? --
