Sweet. That's the second DRI2 crash I've wandered into today.
I know there are a couple of DRI2 patches pending on 1.8.2. This is
easily reproducible for me, I'll see if the patches fix it.
We should move to 1.9 fairly soon, too.

Chris Wilson's patch on bugzilla fixes the crash just fine.
That leaves an intermittent crash somewhere in the Privates system, but
given that's been substantially redone for 1.9 I'm not sure I want to
invest a lot of effort there.

I can trigger the crash by simply starting gnome-screensaver.
