Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-input-evtouch
I did try to report this via command line: ubuntu-bug xserver-xorg- input-evtouch Monitor is Dell E15FPTc with Microtouch / 3M touch screen. Distro: Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix System: Acer Aspire R1600 (like a mini-pc) Behavior: - x axis is backwards - x axis is shifted slightly to side + Drag works + y axis is somewhat close ? Can't confirm if it can double click Things I have tried to fix: - install PuppyLinux, lubuntu, ubuntu desktop x86_64 (all with same result/behavior on default install) - all of these efforts were then done in the netbook installation... - installed xserver-xorg-input-evtouch - used fdi file from http://old.nabble.com/evtouch-fdi-file-for-IDEACO-IDC-6680-touchscreen-td19048740.html as starting point for attached file I called 10-delltouch.fdi - Installed hal, started hald as a service, found the device by lshal - confirmed that any changes to my fdi (new options, different vales) file were executed by then running lshal -lu /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_596_1_noserial_if0_logicaldev_input - swapped minx maxx values (no effect) - added swapx true value (no effect) - added rotate cw (no effect) from /var/log/syslog: Jun 24 18:05:28 pos kernel: [ 3927.225405] usb 2-3: USB disconnect, address 13 Jun 24 18:05:31 pos kernel: [ 3930.960045] usb 2-3: new full speed USB device using ohci_hcd and address 14 Jun 24 18:05:31 pos kernel: [ 3931.172440] usb 2-3: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Jun 24 18:05:33 pos kernel: [ 3932.305443] input: MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:04.0/usb2/2-3/2-3:1.0/input/input17 from /var/log/Xorg.o.log: (II) config/udev: Adding input device MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell (/dev/input/mouse2) (II) No input driver/identifier specified (ignoring) (II) config/udev: Adding input device MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell (/dev/input/event7) (**) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: Applying InputClass "evdev touchscreen catchall" (**) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: always reports core events (**) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: Device: "/dev/input/event7" (II) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: Found absolute axes (II) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: Found x and y absolute axes (II) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: Found absolute touchscreen (II) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: Configuring as touchscreen (**) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: YAxisMapping: buttons 4 and 5 (**) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: EmulateWheelButton: 4, EmulateWheelInertia: 10, EmulateWheelTimeout: 200 (II) XINPUT: Adding extended input device "MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell" (type: TOUCHSCREEN) (II) MicroTouch Systems, Inc. 3M USB Touchscreen - Dell: initialized for absolute axes. ** Affects: xf86-input-evtouch (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Touchscreen inverted x-axis evtouch driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/598331 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xf86-input-evtouch in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
