Do you mind opening up System-Preferences-Power Management and
changing When laptop lid is closed; form Suspend to Black screen?
Then restart and close the lid and re-open it. This should see whether
suspend is an issue or if it's just a lid-close problem.

Just tried with the daily build and it works. I had to switch back to
2.6.32-22-generic because of wireless drivers issues.
At least the problem is consistent, because when I boot with 2.6.32-22-generic
I can reproduce the problem.
From the console I can pm-suspend and resume. I have to
