[maverick] Xserver segfaults with ATI cards in libglx module initialisation

Once I got my wifi card back up and running, I installed all the
available updates, restarted X, and then the Xorg segfault went away for
me. It looks like this was fixed in that update, and I haven't had any
Xorg-related problems since then.
Thanks!

[maverick] Xserver segfaults with ATI
After installing fglrx you need to configure X to use the fglrx ATi
driver:
$ sudo aticonfig --initial
and restart X. (I guess Ubuntu's restricted hardware tool does the same)
It is odd that you still get the error using the open source drivers. At least
the vesa driver does currently work
I have an ATI Radeon HD 4850 and same problem when upgrading from 10.04
to the 10.10 RC.
I've tried installing the latest Catalyst hotfix release but I still have the
same Xorg segfault.
(I can't get on wifi though because I have no idea how to configured
NetworkManager from the command line.
The workaround is to install ATI's fglrx from the latest updates
(2:8.780-0) and use that driver since it now compiles against the kernel
used, unlike before.
