I've readed the posts on the forum and it seems not fixed.
Tried kubuntu systemsettings, gsynaptics and gpointing-device-settings.
The first two didn't do anything, the latter at least could switch the
device on/of.
This bug renders Ubuntu UNUSEABLE with the Dell Inspiron 15R

Dell Inspiron 1525, Kubuntu 10.04. Enabling/disabling works, touchpad
buttons work, but moving the cursor via the touchpad doesn't. Tried
