I installed from the 10.10 beta netbook iso, and then used 'apt-get
update apt-get dist-upgrade' to get the latest updates.
I do not believe this is a duplicate of bug #579683,
Ok, apport collected, and I opened bug #639685 against the video driver
as well.

Please be careful while invalidating bugs as you've just looped yourself and
closed the last of the duplicate bugs.
This bug should stay and it is critical.
Also, I think marking a bug duplicate would be better than invalidating.
