Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
The crash occurs when running the command: "glxinfo" and the Option "Shadow" "True" line is present in the Device section of xorg.conf. Here attached the crash file, which was produced when running ubuntu-bug as it collected files. But eventually, after disabling the "Shadow" option, ubuntu-bug nor apport-cli could not upload anything because the X Server and the intel driver come from xorg-edgers, if I understood well. lsb_release -rd: Description: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Release: 10.04 lspci -nn | grep VGA: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device [8086:2562] (rev 01) ** Affects: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- X server crash with intel driver when using "shadow" option https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/640058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-intel in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
