My last Maverick dist-upgrade severly disabled the proper function of X.
Before the graphic performance was compareable good to Lucid and in the first
days of Maverick beta X started properly.
But now when the bootprocess is nearly finished and X is launched, the
screen shows a "burn in" like effect and X is totally unuseable.
AltSysrq+K switches X off and on again but with same effect.
AltSysrq+R/E helps out.
When i issue radeon.modeset=0 at the kernelcommandline, i get a working
X and Desktop, but with very poor performance.
