nickkon, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com
This was filed against the wrong driver package. -keyboard is no longer
maintained; keyboards are managed via the -evdev driver now.
** Package changed: xserver-xorg-input-keyboard (Ubuntu) = xserver-
xorg-input-evdev (Ubuntu)
** Changed in: xserver-xorg-input-evdev (Ubuntu)
Status:
After reboot problem repeats. Relogin fixes it.
I have no autologin.
May be Xorg starts at boot time before some required daemon?

Today I have same problem in Maverick. When I press Alt-F1 ... Alt-F6 it
switches to virtual terminals. But Alt-F8 ... Alt-F12 does not (only
Ctrl-Alt-F8...)! Yesterday this problem did not present.
