I've been annoyed by this for quite a while. I'm running ubuntu 9.04 and have scim installed and have the x input method selected and the input keeps locking up very often. Right now I'm only running firefox, gnome- terminal and audacious. The input seems to lock up simply by alt-tabbing too

bug confirms and still exists in Jaunty. affecting python idle, kile, matlab... I get very tired of clicking back and forth another windows whenever I need to save in Kile. I ended up uninstalling scim and now only type chinese in virtualbox. I agree with Christopher (#41) that this bug should be
