fglrx doesn't support growing the primary surface at runtime beyond the initial size. You can work around the problem by making the Virtual screen size bigger in your xorg.conf to allocate a larger primary surface during Xserver startup. -- multiple monitor config issue. Worked 10.04. Prob 10.1
