More info. My left monitor is attached to the DVI output, and the right monitor is attached to the VGA output. I use the following commands after I login to disable then enable the monitor attached to the VGA output: xrandr --output VGA0 --off xrandr --output VGA0 --auto --right-of DVI0 --
