Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
Display goes blank when maximizing an application window. Not always repeatable but happens often enough. Usually the system is running the following applications: Mozilla Thunderbird, Google Chrome and Terminal. Only way to recover is by a hard reboot. The system does NOT have compiz installed (I manually removed and purged the packages immediately after installing Meerkat). The system was cold started with Meerkat recently (i.e. not upgraded from a previous release).
