Hi, have you had a chance to test if this bug is still present in natty?
If it does (and if you're the original reporter), please boot into natty

Additional comment: "ubuntu-bug xorg" told me I had installed drivers
directly from nvidia and asked me to confirm that I had uninstalled
them. I couldn't proceed unless I said "yes" to that question. However
in fact I have not installed, nor of course uninstalled, drivers
directly from nvidia in m
