Unable to find a synaptics device. is just a warning message in
-synaptics, easily quelled.
The other error messages I still haven't tracked down.

Okie dokie, tracked it down to libxkbcommon (didn't realize that'd load
up on its own), which is not installed by default and still early enough
on in development that this error message is not worth silencing.
