driver) for this type of hardware (ISDV4) since natty, would you mind
please testing oneiric to confirm if is working out of the box now using

@Chase, would the MT work in the server have affected the default
setting for MT on -wacom in natty?
I browsed through the set of changes between 0.10.8 and 0.10.11 but
nothing popped out to me as obviously changing the default setting here.
Unless Chase has a clue, I think doing a git bisect
xsetwacom set Serial Wacom Tablet touch Gesture on fixed my issue
with no gestures. Seems it's not defaulting to on from the install.

I hate to be Captain Obvious; but did you try the command:
xsetwacom set Device Name touch on
btw,
in my case the device name was as follows:
xsetwacom set Serial Wacom Tablet touch touch on
11.04 seems to leave touch off as a default.
other options can be set as necessary.

Also, if you have gestures (2FGT), try adding to the above xsetwacom set
command the following:
xsetwacom set device name Gesture on
and see if that turns your gestures on.
The xf86-input-wacom driver should be turning touch and gestures on by
default if your ISDV4 tablet PC or USB tablet
Thanks for the help! This command turns on the touchscreen. Now I need
to add it somewhere in the start up files.
