Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg
Attempting to playback a recording in mythtv using a playback profile that uses XvMC causes the X server to crash. Disabling the use of XvMC in mythtv and the crash does not occur and playback is successful. The previous version of the XServer could run with XvMC without crashing. Let me know if you need any further tests done. Even old school gdb :) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.04 Package: xorg 1:7.6+4ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.38-8.42-generic 2.6.38.2 Uname: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 CompizPlugins: [core, bailer, detection, composite, opengl, decor, mousepoll, vpswitch, regex, animation, snap, expo, move, compiztoolbox, place, grid, imgpng, gnomecompat, wall, ezoom, workarounds, staticswitcher, resize, fade, unitymtgrabhandles, scale, session, unityshell] CompositorRunning: None DRM.card0.DVI.D.1: status: connected enabled: enabled dpms: On modes: 1360x768 1152x864 1280x768 1280x720 1024x768 1024x768 1024x768 832x624 800x600 800x600 640x480 640x480 640x480 720x400 edid-base64: AP///////wAebXR1bYkCAAERAQOARid46tmwo1dJnCURSUulboAxQAEBAQFFQAEBYUABAQEBGyFQoFEAHjBIiDUAvIghAAAcTh8AgFEAHjBAgDcAvIghAAAYAAAA/AAzN0xDMkQtRUMKICAgAAAA/QA4Sx89CQAKICAgICAgAUQCAyTxSYUEAgEDERITFCMJBwcjCQcHIwkHB4MBAABlAwwAEAABHQCAUdAcIECANQC8iCEAAB6MCtCKIOAtEBA+lgATjiEAABgqEgAQQUMXIChgNQAAADIAABwBHYAYcRwWIFgsJQDEjiEAAJ4AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaw== DRM.card0.VGA.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: Off modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.VGA.2: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: Off modes: edid-base64: Date: Mon May 2 22:44:39 2011 DistUpgraded: Log time: 2011-04-29 21:52:19.376433 DistroCodename: natty DistroVariant: ubuntu DkmsStatus: lirc, 0.8.7, 2.6.38-8-generic, x86_64: installed (WARNING!
