Public bug reported: Binary package hint: libvdpau1
I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 dev (64 bit) with nvidia-current 270.41.06-0ubuntu1, libvdpau1 0.4.1-2ubuntu1 and flashplugin-nonfree 10.2.159.1ubuntu1. The file /etc/adobe/mms.cfg exists and EnableLinuxHWVideoDecode is set to 1. I have tried from http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/stagevideo.html some videos but they are rendered in "software video rendering" mode. I have installed the official drivers from NVIDIA and they are working without a problem. The videos show me "accelerated video rendering". I have made some tests a few hours and figured out that the official NVIDIA driver needs at least the file /usr/lib32/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.270.41.06. The nvidia-current package has this file too at /usr/lib32/nvidia- current/vdpau/libvdpau_nvidia.so.270.41.06. But it is still not activated and I can't figure out why. ** Affects: libvdpau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to libvdpau in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/782893 Title: libvdpau1 is not working _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
