reopen with the requested information. Also, if you could, please test against
the latest development version of Ubuntu, since this confirms
@fta, using gnome-shell have the issue happened there as well.?

flash ghost in the top left corner of the screen
it didn't happen to me since i moved to gnome-shell on my desktops
(where i'm able to use everything with h/w acceleration enabled without
corrupting the display or freezing/slowing X)

It was reported in quite early in the development cycle, no one else
confirmed the issue as well. Since the reporter no longer uses Unity I
think its now safe to close this bug. thanks.

The 9600GT and a GTX260 are different architectures (G94 vs GT200).
Are you able to reproduce it in firefox? What about with compiz but no
unity?
