You have been subscribed to a public bug: When I updated Ubuntu via the update manager - Update Manager broke my NVidia Drivers, and Unity wouldn't load, it said I should be using the classic desktop, surprising as It's not exactly a "crap computer" Anyway, I downloaded NVidia's drivers from their website and I killed X and GDM, I installed the drivers NVidia provided, thankfully, I've got a working desktop again now. I assume the bug is with nvidia-graphics- drivers, but I have no idea.
Specs: 4GB DDR3 1TB HD NVidia GTS 250 i5 650 That's all that should be at all necessary.. right? After all, I believe the bug is in the NVidia drivers downloaded from the repo. ** Affects: nvidia-graphics-drivers (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: natty running-unity -- Unity doesn't load after update https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/798990 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to nvidia-graphics-drivers in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
