Ok, looks like I found a solution. For my situation at least. Hopefully it will work for others also. I noticed that unity-2d had disappeared from my session options, and my graphics card will only run unity-2d (if I select "unity" it will normally log me in still, but to the 2d desktop). After not

Hey, I'm also affected. I did install the latest daily and updatet and now I only can log in via tty. to solve this prob I tried: * choosing different sessions * create a new user * startx from tty But I can't get X working. xinit does work, but of cause you only get some terminal and no fancy
