I have suffered this problem in ubuntu 10.10 and continue to face it in
11.04. For whatever reason, any mouse tapping, any pressure variation,
stray hairs, etc. are treated as button1 clicks. I cannot use touchpad-
specific functions, to disable the touchpad while typing or disable
mouse clicks using the touchpad.

Right now I use a separate mouse, with a hotkey to disable to touchpad
and enable typing. However, the touchpad turns itself back on, every
time the computer suspends.
