Public bug reported: Well, not sure if Xorg or not, but after i did an update (using security updates and recommended ones) the system would not boot into using the 2.6.38-11-generic linux kernel. I did a disk check and all was fine (from the recovery tool in grub). After the disk check finished it went to a "booting terminal" that stopped at "checking battery state". And that was that. 2.6.38-10 works fine. I'm on a pc. I don't have a battery.
