After reboot and updates the touchpad was working and only the scrolling issue
persists.

Alps GlidePoint Touchpad behaves stra
small addition - mouse / touchpad tab settings changes take effect on
the touchpad (disable tapping, disable while typing)
But moving the thing within a predefined paths stays impossible

i8042.nopnp kernel module was only enabled for testing - and doesn't
have any effect on the issue.
Might be similar bug to LP:550625
In addition I notecied that there is a PS2 mouse discovered which
doesn't exist !
