Sarvatt lots of huge delays peppered into the eDP modesetting code trying to
make it work right because they didnt know what was going wrong, they're
reworking it for 3.2

So, I tried the kernel from Sarvatt, and it makes an absolutely massive
difference - it also fixes the ~5s modprobe issue also present during my
