It is still an issue. Although I do not know to what it is related. Fact is
that no display-manager is starting when not hiding plymouth splash screen via
arrow-up or escape. Xserver is running, with gdm I get the busy-cursor, with
lightdm I get the black cross after a while.

boot-messages and hide plymouth, everything works. I only guessed It is
a nvidia-issue because there was an update of the driver before which
now makes it possible to display plymouth in the correct solution
