Public bug reported: After my update today the mouse pointer clicks 1" to the right of its displayed position on my left display. Currently center and right displays are 1920x1080 and the left display is 1280x1024
This worked 1 week ago. Ubuntu 11.04 has been a disaster for multiple display. Multiple displays worked well at the end of 10.10. Ubuntu props the Ubuntu Unity interface, sprung from netbooks, which is a device category that has been virtually dead since the iPad came out a year ago. Ubuntu Unity, in my opinion, does not work well for multiple displays. With thunderbolt launching, even laptops will have multiple external displays which research proves to be about 30% more productive as opposed to a single display. Another fact is that many computers will have multiple gpus with multiple ports. Ubuntu therefore appears to be less in tune with reality. It's over a year since a multiple display, multiple gpu computers could use Ubuntu's main gui, or the composite effects offered by hardware for years. Still, in this crippled mode, direct-gpu apps draw squares on the wrong display all over the place and also tricks regular apps to draw in rectangles of other apps. Ubuntu is worse off now than a year ago.
