I believe that the text entry "Portuguese (Brazil, nativo for US
keyboards)" presents a Dvorak layout, which is very different from a US
keyboad. I attached a picture for first text entry.

Problem with the Portuguese keyboard layo

The strange thing is the keyboard model, which in fact is not a macbook but a
toshiba.
