Public bug reported: This was diagnosed by my system. Not sure what to make of it. Sometimes the screen just remains black after mode changes etc., and I have to force a reboot. rc6 is disabled. This is with kernel 3.0 . Some 3.1 package allowed me to boot with rc6 enabled, 3.2 doesn't switch on the LCD screen at all, regardless of rc6 and noapic commandlines.
