You have been subscribed to a public bug: On my mid-2009 MacBook Pro, running Precise since alpha with continual updates, middle-clicks have recently stopped working.
Normally on these laptops, pushing down the trackpad with one finger is a left-click; pushing it down with two fingers is a right-click; and pushing it down with three fingers is a middle-click. Of these, the middle-click gesture stopped working. The other two still work. I don't know what it's trying to do instead of middle-click, but it's trying to do something. When I press down with 3 fingers on the desktop, the mouse pointer vanishes as with a normal click, but dragging with the 3 fingers pushed down does not seem to do anything. I have “enable mouse clicks with touchpad” disabled — that's tapping, whereas this touchpad can physically click down. I tried disabling two- finger scroll but it made no difference. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete -- Middle-click on MacBook Pro touchpad no longer works https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/933355 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-input-synaptics in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
