Public bug reported: This driver, IMO, is far superior to the synaptics driver. I have far more accidental clicks with the synaptics driver, and two finger scrolling, three finger taps, etc, all worked great with the mtrack driver.
The recent Xorg upgrade seems to have disabled the mtrack driver... I had to remove it and install xserver-xorg-input-synaptics to get trackpad functionality again. Perhaps mtrack should be considered as a better replacement for synaptics, or synaptics blacklisted for Apple Trackpads in favor of whatever else works but does not suffer from nearly crippling palm-induced taps. ** Affects: xf86-input-mtrack (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xf86-input-mtrack in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/936782 Title: No longer working in precise To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xf86-input-mtrack/+bug/936782/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
