You have been subscribed to a public bug: wine fails to configure on Precise amd64 when specifying GLU support, ie with:
./configure -with-glu The failure message is: checking for -lGLU... not found configure: error: libGLU 32-bit development files not found, GLU won't be supported. In Oneiric, the required dev files were in ia32-libs-multiarch:i386, and I have this installed in Precise. To get to this stage, I also had to manually download and install these deb files because they are missing from the repositories (ie they don't appear in Synaptic) and their absence caused other errors: libx11-dev_1.4.99.1-0ubuntu2_i386.deb libxau-dev_1.0.6-4_i386.deb ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: ia32-libs 20090808ubuntu33 Uname: Linux 3.3.0-rc5-git-20120226.0832 x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.94-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 Date: Sat Mar 3 07:42:25 2012 Dependencies: EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release amd64 (20111012) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_AU:en TERM=xterm LANG=en_AU.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: ia32-libs UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to precise on 2012-03-02 (0 days ago) ** Affects: mesa (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Won't Fix ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug multiarch precise wine -- Cannot build wine with GLU support on Precise amd64 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/945251 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to mesa in Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
