Paul Kishimoto, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from
http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/c
I have same problem with additional symptoms as as post #9 suggested my
Xorg occasionally crashes, restarts, and I have to log back in. This is
costing me lots of WAF points at the moment. Crashes usually a few
minutes after wake from standby.

apport just guided me here, but I'm on a intel machine and did a
sudo modprobe -r psmouse && sudo modprobe psmouse
as my touchpad did only scroll after suspend

Discussing this with RAOF and cnd, this may be a symptom of a pervasive
memory corruption bug in the input stack (see LP: #929408), which is
fixed (we believe) in xorg-server 1.11.4-0ubuntu5 which will be uploaded
